Getting started
What is CHAOBROStudio?+
CHAOBROStudio is a Shopify app for print-on-demand and personalized products. It adds theme app blocks to your product pages so customers can enter custom text, upload files, or use the Design Studio with live preview. Personalization data is saved to line item properties and synced to your admin order dashboard.
Which Shopify themes are supported?+
CHAOBROStudio requires an Online Store 2.0 theme (for example Dawn). Add blocks under Product information on the product template: CHAOBROStudio Field for individual custom fields and CHAOBROStudio Design for visual editing with live preview.
How do I add personalization to a product page?+
Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize → open the default product template. Select Product information → Add block → Apps → choose CHAOBROStudio Field or CHAOBROStudio Design. Save the theme, then preview the product on your storefront.
Storefront & orders
What file types can buyers upload?+
Depending on block settings, buyers can upload PNG, JPEG, WebP, and PDF files. Files are uploaded through Shopify App Proxy, validated server-side, and stored securely. Public links may be used in order records and optional Printful fulfillment.
Where do I see customized orders?+
Open Shopify Admin → Apps → CHAOBROStudio → POD orders. You can review custom options, design previews, upload links, and fulfillment status. Optional Printful integration can submit eligible orders for production.
Does the app work with Printful?+
Yes. Printful is optional. Configure your Printful API credentials in the app admin and map Shopify variants to Printful variants. When enabled, personalized orders can be submitted to Printful for fulfillment.
Billing, security & support
What permissions does the app require?+
Required scopes are read_orders and write_app_proxy. read_orders supports order webhooks and admin order views. write_app_proxy allows secure buyer uploads from the storefront. Optional scopes may be requested when additional features are enabled.
How does pricing work?+
CHAOBROStudio offers Lite (free), Startup, Growth, and Advanced plans with usage limits for personalization settings, monthly POD orders, and file storage. Paid plans include a 7-day free trial where applicable. Plan selection and billing are handled through Shopify.
Is buyer data handled securely?+
Yes. Uploads are validated, transmitted over HTTPS, and stored using secure cloud infrastructure. The app supports Shopify GDPR compliance webhooks for customer data requests, customer redaction, and shop redaction. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I get support?+
Email support@chaobrostudio.com with your shop domain, a description of the issue, and screenshots if possible. For Design Studio setup, include your theme name and product page URL.
